Items that are not allowed to be loaded / moved
Before your possessions are handed over to our care, certain items cannot be shipped because they represent a considered hazardous. Because of their nature, they should not be part of your shipment and either disposed of, or taken with you when personally traveling. Our firm will not accept responsibility for their safe shipping nor consequences if shipped without our knowledge.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS:
Aerosols, Ammonia, Ammunition, Batteries, Car Batteries Chemistry Sets, Chemicals, Fireworks, Fertilizer, Gasoline, Lamp Oil, Liquid Bleach, Lighter Fluid, Nail Polish, Paint Thinner, Paints, Poisons, Weapons Motor Oil, Weed Killer
PERISHABLE ITEMS:
Frozen food, Open or half open food cans bags, Plants, Meats, Refrigerated food.
NOTE:
You should empty your refrigerators and freezers and keep appliance doors open at least 24 hours in advance of loading. This will allow the appliance to dry out and prevent the growth of mold.
FOR INTERNATIONAL MOVES:
- It is not recommended to take any kind of liquid with your shipment.
- You should check with the consulate of the destination country if they have additional non-allowable items.
PERSONAL AND/OR HIGH-VALUE ITEMS
Money/cash, Airline tickets, Medicine, Stocks/bonds, jewelry, Car keys, financial documents, Software backups, IRA/deeds/tax records, checkbooks.
